The pattern is a simplified version of the cuffs worn by Jane Seymour in the Holbein painting. The full version of this pattern was the first piece of blackwork I stitched, so it is nice to re-visit it.
It's just over an inch and a half wide, and is stitched on linen with silk embroidery thread.
They will be turned into cuffs and used as part of a Tudor outfit.
